No matter how hard you try to look after yourself do you ever feel like it’s just not working? According to the latest studies on how to be healthy you try to eat right, make sure to make it to the gym, and even started taking Yoga – but the Zen achieved is a temporary thing, and your internal stress gauges tell another story. But our bodies know. We feel run down, mentally scattered, emotionally erratic and like we’re just not firing right. Here are some simple things to consider – common sense, really, but it’s easy to lose track of the basics that can help keep us rolling.
Water Consumption – Liquids in general are helpful but nothing compares to cool clean water. Reports vary greatly on how much to consume a day but note that if you’re particularly active and/or in higher altitudes be sure to consume even more.
Sleep – Sleep is the great healer, so many little pangs and illnesses could be avoided or greatly alleviated id we’d all get a proper amount of rest. Only you can say what you require nightly in order to function properly but be sure to get it and be sure to listen to your body about what things aid to restlessness at night. Caffeine of course can adversely affect sleep but some also have trouble if they eat large amounts of protein later in the day. Again, listen to your body.
Take a multivitamin – I know I know, don’t you hate it when your Mum’s right? But it’s true, a multivitamin, particularly a vitamin b complex will help keep you running right and help safeguard you from stress-related illnesses.
